Industrial Ethernet · DIN Rail
Where the PoE rail units power the devices, DIN rail Ethernet switches move the data: compact rail-mount aggregation for cabinets, junctions and machine networks.

A control cabinet typically needs both: PoE ports for its local cameras and sensors, and a data switch to aggregate the cabinet — PLCs, HMIs, the PoE switch itself — onto the fiber ring back to the control room. The DIN-rail class of ONV's industrial Ethernet line fills that role: compact 2 to 12-port models, unmanaged and managed, several with SFP uplinks, all in the rail-mount form factor.
As with the PoE rail class, mounting detail is per model: the table is the compact industrial Ethernet class from which rail builds are drawn, and the mounting kit and dimensions of any exact model are confirmed against its datasheet at quotation.
Compact models (2–12 ports) from the industrial Ethernet catalogue — the DIN-rail mounting class (official product names).

The class's managed ceiling: most rail builds pair a compact model from the table with a managed aggregation switch like the ONV-IPS36448FM at the ring's head — 176 Gbps, 10G uplinks, console management.

Count the cabinet's data ports honestly — PLC, HMI, PoE switch uplink, service laptop port, spare — then choose managed if the cabinet joins a ring or must be visible to the NMS, unmanaged for a purely local junction. Prefer an SFP uplink model whenever the cabinet leaves the building: copper between buildings invites surge and distance problems that fiber simply does not have.
Machine and process cabinets, building-services enclosures, gate houses, pump stations and any distributed enclosure that must report back to a control room.
If the enclosure has a rail — and industrial enclosures do — rail mounting is cleaner, denser and serviceable. Wall-box rack shelves suit IT-style cabinets; the switch silicon is comparable, the form factor is the decision.
Often yes, where both models accept the cabinet's DC input; inputs are per model in the datasheets. Tell us the supply you have and we will match both units to it.
Send your port count, per-port power and uplink requirements — we reply with the exact models, datasheets and a quotation. MOQ and lead time are confirmed per model and order scope in the quotation.
